1.4828 - heat-resistant steel intended for loaded parts working up to temperatures around 1050 ; austenitic grade with increased resistance to oxidation; commonly used to equip the furnaces

 

ADVANTAGES

·       Excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, including aqueous corrosion, high temperature corrosion and Sulphur attacks,

·       Maximum temperature of 1050°C in service in the air,

·       Very good resistance to carburizing,

·       Good weldability and formability.

·       Furnace and boilers equipment (esp. supporting parts)

·       Annealing and hardening boxes

·       Air heaters

·       Iron, steel, and non-ferrous industries

·       Engineering industry

·       Energy conversion plants

·       Electrical heating elements

·       Cement industry

·       Aeronautical engineering

·       Automotive exhaust systems

·       It is used in the case of high-temperature chimneys, in which the flue gas temperature does not exceed 600 ° C (solid fuel boilers - including fireplaces) and in the case when the combustion temperature is higher than 450 ° C and no liquefaction of condensate - dry chimney.

The standard sheet sizes are 1000x2000 and 1500x3000 mm.

Most comon finish for 3 mm thickness is 2B/2E, fot thickness 4-8 mm the comon finish is 1D.
