Noble shine, high quality and durability - there are many reasons for choosing stainless steel for elevations or as decorative elements, because it offers more than just solid protection from the weather.
After a longer period of fascination with functionality in construction industry, when the energy saving emphasized by smooth, white surfaces was the priority, the trend of choosing sustainable and high quality materials is coming back.
The material that meets the aforementioned requirements and ensures the optimal balance of investement costs is stainless steel of Rimex Metal Company. The offer of surface finishes is very rich - starting with matt surfaces, through patterened finishes and ending with mirror polished surfaces.
There is also a possibility of colouring all the finishing variants through reliable ColourTex ® process. It is a special way of colouring, where the colour is formed without using pigments. In the electromechanical process there is a change in chromium oxide layer thickness that protects stainless steel. As a result, new colorations are created: gold, bronze, black and blue; there are also champagne, Cannon Bronze and rose gold shades available. The observer notices the colour as intensive and metallic thanks to the phenomenon of interference. This effect cannot be achieved in case of varnished and coated surfaces. The main advantage of the process is the coloration of the steel, not just the Surface - thus the further processing such as laser cutting, bending or beveling does not affect the colour. There is a possibility of welding, however the weld will have its own natural stainless steel colour.
Rimex offers a wide range of surface finishes such as satin, mirror, GranexTM and many more, so that the sheets are ideal for architecture, industrial design, interior design and industry.
Coloured stainless steel sheets are available in the following formats: up to 4,0 meters of lenght, 1,25 meters of width and 0,6-2,0 mm of thickness. Other formats are avilable in uncoloured versions.
Rimex uses 1.4301 or 1.4401/1.4404 grades for its production, so that the company’s products may be successfully applied in places particularly exposed to various aggresive utilities f.ex. urban streets and sidewalks areas or facade panels. In such applications stainless steel is an optimal material, which exceeds the durability of other materials and metals used on facades.
The main goal of an architect is not only the selection of materials but also the structure and arrangement of elevation panels. Specification of the size and the structure of elevation is an introduction to a detailed work, the course of which is planned in cooperation with metalelevation producers or special consultants.
